City of Alpharetta Reports: Prime Season For Deer Collisions

The City of Alpharetta has issued a warning to drivers about increased deer activity during the mating season, which peaks from November 10 to 16 in Fulton County. This period sees heightened deer movement, especially at dawn, dusk, and early nighttime hours, increasing the risk of vehicle collisions. Drivers are advised to exercise caution, particularly on two-lane roads near wooded areas and waterways. If a deer is spotted near the road, it's important to slow down and remain alert, as others may be nearby. In the event a deer enters the roadway, braking firmly and staying in your lane is recommended to avoid losing control of the vehicle.

If you live in Alpharetta, Roswell, Cumming, Johns Creek or surrounding areas keep a close eye on the road!
